Malvasia delle Lipari Riserva Hauner

Another interesting bottle we tried from the Sicilian world is that produced on the island of Lipari which is situated on the archipelagos of Eolie. Well known for the Malvasia that grows there, we decided one by the Azienda Agricola Hauner. The founder is an artist from Brescia named Carlo Hauner and has actually created himself the design on each of the labels.
Malvasia in general are naturally sweeter since they are considered aromatic grapes, and often because of this they are made into desert wines. This bottle is an example of that. A golden yellow color tells us it was sun dried before pressed and its consistancy that it has high levels of glycerine. Exotic fruits and vegetables fill the glass with their perfumes,and the mineral and fresh erbe scents help us realized its freshness. The taste is just as inviting with its intensity and softness and lingers on our tongue until the next sip. Perfectly sweet, a piece of aged or blued cheese would go well for desert.

Una altro prodotto interessante nell'universo siciliano direi senz'altro quello proveniente dall'arcipelago delle Eolie esattamente nell'isola di Salina, la Malvasia delle Lipari della Azienda Agricola Hauner. Il fondatore Carlo Hauner pittore bresciano,bresciano come il mio amico Amedeo, ha recuperato e diffuso a livello nazionale questo vitigno sparso in tutta Italia la Signora Malvasia.
La Malvasia si esprime in tutto la sua carica energetica in queste isole siciliane, con rese basse e allevamenti ad alberello, spesso vinificate con uve appassite ma anche non.
Dal colore giallo dorato pieno, consistente nel bicchiere; il bouquet spazia dal fruttato di agrume alla frutta esotica, ottimi la sua mineralità e i profumi di erbe aromatiche.
In bocca è notevole la sua intensità, morbidezza e persistenza senza mai scadere nello stucchevole la sua dolcezza.
Da abbinare a dei formaggi o qualche bel dolce tradizionale.
