Bramato Insolia Cantine Vinci

Maybe it was our bad luck, or maybe this wine really just sucked. Either way, since its not often that we drink an Insolia, we'll have to go by what we are told. The producer of this indiginous Sicilian wine, Bramato Cantine Vinci writes that the color should be a muted pale yellow- first mistake- it was a dark almost golden color. Second mistake- the profumes were definatly oxidized, but still had floral and fruity hints, which they claimed it would. Maybe this is the reason that they use this grape also for making Marsala, along with Grillo and Cataratto. The famous desert wine, known for its oxidized taste and odor, would have been a better choice than the Insolia alone.

Forse siamo stati sfortunati ma questo vino è veramente da dimenticare.
Iniziamo con ordine stiamo parlando del Bramato Cantine Vinci. Vino prodotto con il vitigno autoctono sicilano Insolia spesso usato assieme ai vitigni Grillo e Cataratto per produrre il Marsala vino liquoroso portabandiera della Sicilia.
Appena aperto subito appare ambrato più che giallo paglierino scarico come da nota del produttore, il profumo era sicuramente ossidato e le note floreali o fruttati erano scomparse del tutto.
In bocca confermava quello espresso in precedenza nell'esame olfattivo.
Mi dispiace molto.
