After having the bottle of Cirò, we went on to our next. A Negroamaro-Cabernet mix from Lecce in Puglia, this bottle by Caramia blends old school with new. Negroamaro, an autoctono grape is known for the amaro or bitter taste the wine has. It has a medium structure, a bright red color and intense aromas that reminds of blackberries and freshcut vines- it can even make rosè. On the other hand, Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most well known grapes and wines in the world. Its a powerful with perfect amounts of tannins, salts and glycerine. With a red almost blue hue, the perfumes are elegant clearly recognizable- herbs, fruits, flowers, spices, vegatables, mint and cacao. The structure continues in its smoothness, freshness, tannicity and persistence, while letting us know that its past time in barrique. This particulare mix of negroamaro and cabernet is strong but not overwhelming, slightly sweet while tannic. A good companion for any meat dish.

Dopo aver aperto la bottiglia di Cirò siamo passati alla prossima.Un mix da Lecce, Negroamaro e Cabernet, Caramia che ha come caratteristica di unire la vecchia scuola con la nuova. Negroamaro è un vitigno autoctono conosciuto per il suo gusto amaro che lascia in bocca. E' di media struttura, un rosso vivo intenso profumi che ricordano more, forse un po' vinoso può anche elaborare la versione rosè. Dall'altra parte abbiamo il Cabernet Sauvignon uno dei vitigni più conosciuti al mondo, da cui si ricava un vino potente con una forte componente tannica e glicerica; il suo rosso quasi blu dai profumi eleganti e riconoscibili di erbe, piccoli frutti rossi, fiori, spezie, menta e cacao quando è affinato a dovere.La sua struttura avvolgente ha buone qualità di freschezza,tannicità e persistenza. Questo particolare mix di negroamaro e cabernet ha una grande struttur ma non disturba affatto, dai tannini avvolgenti (vedi Cabernet Sauvignon). Un ottimo compagno per qualsiasi piatto di carne
