Abadia Retuerta Venedos Propios 2006, 14%

Usually I love a big round full bodied Spanish red, however, this from the area of Sardon de Duero, by Abadia Retuerta Venedos Propios 2006 is not my favorite. With 14% alcohol, a percentual neither high or low for the Spanish tempranillo, its dark, thick and intense. Aromas from the barrel, like coffee, were present as well as vegetable and fruit smells like blueberry or prugne jams. Strong and soft, round and persistant, the first taste was good, but the fruit disappeared right away and the alcohol was way to harsh and almost burnt your tongue. Unfortuanatly this wine is not a good representation of what this smaller region along the Duero river has to offer.

Normalmente mi piace bere i rossi spagnoli, con un bel corpo e rotondi nel gusto invece questo proveniente da Sardon de Duero della Cantina Abadia Retuerta Venedos Propios 2006 non è tra i miei preferiti.

Con 14% di alcool, nella media tra i vari tempranillo, impenetrabile come l'inchiostro intenso e fitto nel colore. I profumi che sprigiona vengono dalla botte, come il caffè tostato, vegetale e floreale, confettura di prugna. Al palato al primo sorso sembra interessante ma poi sprisce il frutto e l'alcool la fa da padrone e punge la lingua e la gola.

Sfortunatamente questo vino non rappresenta la qualità che può offrire questa piccola regione vitivinicola attraversata dal fiume Duero
