Cune Rioja Crianza 2005

From the Alta Rioja region in Spain arrives this 2005 Crianza, from the well known Cune Estate. With worldwide importation they still use traditional methods of wine making. Made from 80% Tempranillo, the rest a mix of Mazuelo and Garnacha tinta. Red, fruity and warm, it was typical of most riojas- nothing extravagant but still a good wine to drink. I personally am a fan of riojas- I love the oakiness and freshness of these wines. Very powerfull and persistant. This is one is great because the tannins and alcohol dont overpower the fruits. We were offered this delightful wine to be paired which cheeses and meats from the region, at the cutest cafe/restaurant in Madrid called the 'Secret Garden.' Not far from Grand Via and Alberto Aquillera, this place is packed out every night and offers a broad range of local and international dishes.

Dall'Alta Rioja regione vitivinicola della Spagna arriva questo 2005 Crianza dalla ben conosciuta Azienda Cune Estate. Sebbene esportino a livello mondiale usano ancora metodi tradizionali di vinificazione. Fatto per l'80% di Tempranillo e per il rimanente è Manzuelo e Garnacha tinta. Rosso, fruttato e caldo tipico della regione, niente di stravagante ma un buon vino da bere. Molto intenso e persistente, bene bilanciato tra alcool e tannini i quali non sovrastano il fruttato di prugna e frutti rossi. Abbinato ad un piatto di formaggi e salumi tipici madrileni in un locale chiamato 'Secret Garden' dove celebrity del calibro di Madonna hanno trascorso con piacere notti insonni. Questo locale vicino a Gran Via e Alberto Aquillera offre anche numerosi piatti internazionali e particolarità spagnole il tutto in un'atmosfera veramente accogliente.
